Multiple J numbers solved

An email received today from John Dexter re J numbers. If you would like the original sent to you , let me know and I will email it to you. We should possibly keep a copy of the email on board our boats in case there is confusion or this is challenged by a Patrol Officer. I am thinking of towing a second boat behind my oyster punt to carry the necessary paper work we need, as I am running out of room on the main boat.

Hi Tony

Have discussed with QBFP and in cases where oyster growers have multiple J numbers to display due to having multiple oyster areas it has been agreed they will only be required to display one of the relevant J numbers on their boat. The oyster grower must make sure they have all of their development approvals with them so they can show the patrol officer the relevant J number they are using.

Regards

John
